“I always start with Joanna Ortiz,” said Gabrielle Union of her approach to summer dressing. “I love her silhouettes, especially her maxis. This black and cream felt like the perfect way to kick off the night—elegant but easy.”

Last night, The Hedges Inn in East Hampton set the stage for a stylish gathering, co-hosted by Union and Dwyane Wade in celebration of Saks on Amazon. The evening unfolded beneath a green-and-white tent, where Hugo spritzes and light bites set a relaxed tone as guests arrived for an evening of fashion, conversation, and community.

Among those in attendance were Sabrina Elba, Naomi Watts, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and Rachel Zoe, each embodying a distinctive take on summer style. Watts, in an elegant Erdem dress, brought a dose of sophistication, while Hilton Rothschild looked radiant in a Johanna Ortiz design. Zoe, in her signature boho style, added a relaxed charm to the affair.

Union, who paired her Johanna Ortiz dress with what she playfully dubbed her “Sandy from Grease shoes” (a nod to the film’s iconic finale look), was in high spirits, her easygoing presence a perfect complement to the laid-back luxury of the evening. “I love the ease of a Capri,” she said, leaning into the summer vibe. “I mean, what would Olivia Newton-John do in the late ’70s? Wear a Capri.”

The dinner featured a kale salad and a light fish entrée perfectly paired with the evening’s easy elegance. Trisha Gregory Morse, Chief Brand Officer of Amazon Luxury Stores, and Kristin Maa, Saks’ Global CMO, took the opportunity to toast to the event’s success and the ongoing collaboration between Saks and Amazon, highlighting the weekend’s upcoming programming, including a flower-making session with Chantecaille, a Markarian cocktail hour, and a fashion trivia night.

As the night wound down, the intimate gathering shifted to a lighthearted end with a s’mores-making session by the fire pits. Markarian’s Alexandra O’Neill and Charlotte Groeneveld were spotted laughing together, indulging in the sweet nostalgia of the moment.
