JP Richards and Keri Moore, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s heads of marketing, are set to leave the company, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The roles for Richards and Moore will not be immediately filled after they step down. Instead, Amanda Kozlowski, executive strategy and chief of staff; Jack Teed, executive vp of global creative advertising, and Nasim Cambron, executive vp of worldwide publicity, are expected to lead global campaigns for the studio’s theatrical release slate as Adam Fogelson, chair of the Motion Picture Group assumes a more active role in overseeing the department.

“In looking at our slate ahead, we have decided to reapproach our marketing group to meet the needs of a rapidly changing market. As we redefine the way we explore our campaigns, JP Richards and Keri Moore will be transitioning from their roles at the studio. I’m deeply proud of both JP and Keri, who have grown with and alongside me in their careers,” Fogelson said in a statement obtained by THR.

In October 2022, Lionsgate named Richards as president of worldwide theatrical marketing after he did a stint as head of film marketing at Apple TV+, and also hired former STX Films exec Moore as co-president of marketing for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

The two were to work directly with Fogelson to oversee marketing and strategy on release titles like John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Now You See Me 3 from director Ruben Fleischer.

Lionsgate’s upcoming slate includes The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which is about to go into production; The Long Walk, based on Stephen King’s first-written novel and also directed by Francis Lawrence; and The Strangers – Chapter 2, a sequel to last year’s hit.

Richards, in his own statement,t said of his pending departure: “The last three years have been some of the most deeply rewarding of my life. I got to reunite with my mentor and friend Adam, dive into the heart of the work with the fearless Keri, and create alongside the most innovative, forward-thinking, generation-defying, TikTok-genius, and above all, genuinely kind team in the business. We dreamed big, pushed boundaries, and had a lot of fun doing it, and I can’t wait to see what they do next!”

For her part, Moore, co-president, worldwide marketing, added with her statement: “There is literally no one other than Adam Fogelson that I would have agreed to traverse the entirety of Los Angeles for each day.  It has been a wild and remarkable few years.”
